Dear friends, we are am happy to announce that the organizers of the Sacred Songs Festival in The Hague which is an initiative of Zuiderstrand Theater and Culture Connection, selected the film The Hupd’äh Enchanted Words of the Amazon – Masters of knowledge, narrated by Renato Athias produced by World Cultural Diversity to make the international release on November 28th at theatre De Nieuwe Regentes followed by a debate with Renato Athias and Mina Rad.

In the cosmology of this people, one of the two hundred and ten ethnic groups in Brazil, there is no separation between mineral, vegetable, animal and human nature. Music and words have a transformative power, often incomprehensible to us. The film was produced from the ethnographic collection of the ethnologist Renato Athias, with texts, footage, photographs and music gathered in the 1980s…
